Researchers at the University of Arizona are considering various crops which could grow in semi arid Arizona and be used for biofuel production. Sorghum loves heat and drought, which makes Arizona a great place for it to grow .

Pam White reports that effluent can be used to irrigate sorghum, which may indicate the state has a future in the field of biofuel production.
