RETABLO special preview

For the first time in the United States, researchers have undertaken an extensive study of a 15th Spanish cathedral altarpiece, and in the process, have unlocked five hundred years of secrets involving art, literature, history and religion.

Arizona Public Media presents this preview of a half-hour documentary that follows the journey of the Retablo which survived earthquakes, war, trans-Atlantic voyages, years of storage in a bunker during WW II and restoration to come to the University of Arizona Museum of Art.
