Dr. Joan Shaver, the University of Arizona's new dean and professor at the College of Nursing joins us to talk about some of the challenges being faced in the medical field such as the shortage of doctors, her goals for the college, and opportunities that are being presented for nurses.

She says one of the things she wants to work on is research and generating knowledge at the campus to go along with disseminating knowledge such as in helping people cope with their illnesses.
