The oil transportation industry entered a new era of safety with a far less likelihood of oil tanker accidents -- or so it seemed. In the fall of 2004, a spill of hundreds of gallons of thick crude oil in Seattle's Puget Sound, which no company owned up to, led an intrepid Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter from the Seattle Post-Intelligencer to embark on an investigation into the actual state of the Pacific Northwest's oil transport industry. This program looks at the Seattle Post-Intelligencer's groundbreaking report.
