Colonial HouseSeason 1, Episode 2 of 8 : Harsh Reality
The cooperative venture gets underway, and it seems clear that this will be an experiment in community, economics, and social and religious tolerance. Corn must be planted as soon as possible if there is to be a harvest. The colonists lack motivation. Governor Wyers is forced to lay down the law. Assistant governor and lay preacher Don Heinz faces his first Sabbath presiding over a congregation with diverse religious beliefs. At the first celebratory evening meal, the group is unaware of imminent changes: the governor' s family receives tragic news from home and immediately departs. As Heinz assumes his new responsibilities as acting governor, he's faced with anarchy. By the time he regains control, an unexpected visitor arrives and turns everything upside down.
