Season 5, Episode 2 of 13 :  The Mayo Tribe

Literally, ethnobotany is the scientific study of how people use plants. We commonly use plants for food and medicines, but most of the time, we are far removed from the plant itself. Some people - such as the Mayo Indians of southern Sonora, Mexico - have closer, traditional relationships with their flora. The Mayo turn to plants for a variety of uses - from medicines to making furniture.
