In September 1916, the Wong June family traveled by boat and train bound for Flagstaff, Arizona. They were the first Chinese family to settle in the town. The youngest son, Jimmy June Wong, shares about their experiences, including immigration challenges, growing up in a large family, operating the American Laundry, and his father’s dream of having everyone under the same roof in America.
