Matt Rendon is recording some of the most interesting and influential music in Tucson. Born and raised in midtown, he is one of the most unassuming people you will ever meet. He has been running Midtown Island Studios out of his backyard fulltime since 2013. Rendon taught himself the nuances of sound engineering when his band The Resonars broke up in the 1996 and he wanted to keep making records.
