Pandemic Blues

How Tucson musicians are making a living during the coronavirus pandemic.

Tucson has a vibrant music scene with a variety of option for live shows, but even during good times it can be hard to make a living as a musician here. The coronavirus pandemic and social distancing have upended traditional ways musicians had of connecting with audiences. The demand for live music did not go away with people stuck at home, so, musicians innovated, educated themselves on new technologies and came up with creative solutions, turning a shutdown into creative time.
