They are affectionately known as the Laxcats. This year the Laxcats earned a playoff berth in the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Championships for the first time since 2007 and finished the season ranked 10th in the nation. Four players from this year’s team were named MCLA Division 1 All-Americans, including Senior Goalie and two-time All-American Tanner Knego, Senior Defenseman Nolan Baker, Defenseman Griffin Goudreau and LSM Jackson Pinney. The most famous former Laxcat was a feisty goalie by the name of Gerry Rivers, aka Geraldo Rivera, journalist.
