Arizona Vietnam Veteran Rick Church Shares His Story

Like most young men his age, Rick Church knew his chance of being drafted was very high.

Arizona Profiles: Veterans - Rick Church

Rick Church grew up in Wisconsin and ended up in Arizona after his service during the war in Vietnam. Like most young men his age, he knew his chance of being drafted was very high. For self-preservation, he decided to enlist in the Marines where he felt he could get the best training to survive the war.

Arizona & The Vietnam War recounts the impact of the era and its defining war on a generation of Southern Arizonans through thought-provoking, personal interviews, and cultural perspectives.
