May 6th thru the 12th is National Travel and Tourism Week. This year marks the 35th anniversary of the congressional resolution that established the annual event back in 1983. National Travel & Tourism Week highlights the value of travel and focuses on how it affects and benefits our communities.

We revisit the tradition in 1988 and the prospects of how it would affect our state.
