Hollywood at Home Special Double Feature

This special double feature presents two Academy Award winning films, Moonstruck followed by Bonnie and Clyde. Saturday at 9 p.m. on PBS 6.

Moonstruck
Directed by Norman Jewison, Moonstruck was released in 1987. The movie stars Cher, Nicolas Cage, Olympia Dukakis, Vincent Gardenia, and Danny Aiello.

The movie centers around two extended Italian-American families in Brooklyn, NY: the Castorinis and the Cammareris. Loretta Castorini (Cher) is in her thirties, and has been widowed for several years when she decides to accept the proposal of Johnny Cammareri (Danny Aiello).

When Johnny travels to Sicily to visit his ill mother, he gives Loretta the task of inviting his estranged brother Ronny (Nicolas Cage) to the wedding. When she meets Ronny sparks fly between the two. Comedic complications follow as Loretta tries to sort out her feelings.

Bonnie an Clyde
Academy Award winners Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway star in this groundbreaking film as the glamorous couple of Depression-era bank robbers Bonnie and Clyde.

When Bonnie Parker (Dunaway) catches Clyde Barrow (Beatty) stealing her mother's car it's love at first sight ... and the two begin a nationwide crime spree. As young gangsters in love, who attack the wealthy establishment and live by their own rules, Bonnie and Clyde capture the attention of an entire country--for the short time that they manage to elude law enforcement.
