Host David Yetman, along with leading scientists and researchers, takes an informative and exhilarating look at North America’s largest and most well-known deserts. They explore the Chihuahuan Desert and the region near the Rio Grande River in Big Bend National Park, the basins and ranges that make up the Great Basin Desert, the Mojave Desert along Route 66, and finally the Sonoran Desert where they learn how the indigenous Tohono O'odham people have used desert plants for food and medicine for generations.
