Captain Ross Poldark rides again in a swashbuckling new adaptation of the hit 1970s series. Aidan Turner stars as a redcoat who returns to Cornwall after the American Revolution; Eleanor Tomlinson plays the miner’s daughter taken in by the captain

Part 2

When the local mine is suddenly closed, hundreds of miners find themselves out of work and desperately poor. With a successful renovation of Nampara underway, Ross resolves to reopen his family's old mine. In the current financial climate, it will be an uphill battle.

Meanwhile, Verity finds romance at a glittering ball, but the promise of love is cut short by secrets, jealousy, and an ill-fated duel.
