In 1971, the Rolling Stones took the stage at London's famed Marquee Club, delivering an intimate performance on the very stage the legendary group began its career nearly a decade earlier. Footage from this epic night reportedly languished in an attic for nearly two decades, but has recently been restored and the audio re-mastered. The end product, THE ROLLING STONES FROM THE VAULT – THE MARQUEE – LIVE IN 1971, is a riveting look back at the band in its prime. Highlights include a preview of then-new songs from Sticky Fingers ("Brown Sugar," "Dead Flowers") and hits from its then-most recent release, Let It Bleed ("Live With Me," "Midnight Rambler," and more).
Rolling Stones From the Vault - The Marquee - Live in 1971, Wednesday at 9:30 p.m. on PBS 6.
