AZ WEEK: Arizona Economy More Than 5 Cs

Analysis of how national parks, military and related industries impact Arizona

The historic economic drivers in Arizona were the oft-repeated 5 Cs — cattle, copper, citrus, cotton and climate. Arizona Week looks at the industries that contribute to the economy today, including a sixth C — cactus — in this week’s episode.

On the program:
- Arizona revenue collections for April were greater than predicted. Christopher Conover explains why, and looks toward a summer economic contributor.
- Zac Ziegler sits down with Economist Jim Rounds to talk about the impact of the military and related industries in Arizona.
- Christopher Conover speaks with U.S. Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick, (D-Flagstaff) about how she’s working to protect veterans.
- The Buzz – AZPM’s Zac Ziegler debriefs Christopher Conover on a $559 million contract awarded to Raytheon.
