The New Brian

After suffering a stroke in 2015, Brian McGinn and his wife Julie set out on a journey that would lead them to discover new friends, new goals, and a new appreciation for each other.

On February 28, 2015, Brian McGinn had a hemorrhagic stroke that nearly took his life. Before that day, Brian was a gifted guitarist, a woodworker, and a teacher in the Tucson Unified School District for 23 years. After it, he became a man on a mission. He and his wife Julie embarked on a journey to find the “new” Brian—a journey that would lead them to discover new friends, new goals, and a new appreciation for each other.
