PBS News Weekend

Season 3, Episode 31 of 86

On Saturday, NewsHour Weekend examines federal whistleblowers, people who are incentivized by the False Claims Act to expose misconduct in companies that do business with the federal government. Last year alone, the government and its whistleblowers recovered a record $6 billion in lawsuits that exposed wrongdoing. But some question whether the False Claims Act actually prevents fraud or merely incentivizes people with potential reward money. NewsHour's Rick Karr reports. That, and the weekend's news, online and on-air.
