On Saturday, PBS NewsHour Weekend examines the effects of poverty on children's mental health and cognitive development. Dr. Jack Shonkoff of Harvard's Center on the Developing Child says persistent adversity - what he calls "toxic stress" - can affect the architecture of the brain, especially in young children. Correspondent Megan Thompson reports from Connecticut.
