Artwalk the Dog Scottsdale held its first Artwalk in the downtown area 39-years ago and as such, the event is often been described as "America's original Artwalk." That Artwalk has been expanded to include dogs. We take you on that Artwalk. Arts Funding The Arizona Commission on the Arts received a one-time budget allocation of $1-million from the state legislature last session. The money is set to be used to support existing statewide grants and to develop "new" programs targeting innovative arts initiatives. Robert Booker, the arts commission's executive director, discusses how the money will be used. Business Pros Helping the Arts A program matching business professionals with arts organizations is being re-launched by Arizona Citizens for the Arts. The effort brings together business professionals with arts organizations for skills-based consulting purposes. Robin Hanson, a business volunteer for Arizona Citizens for the Arts, talks about the program. Scorpius Dance Theatre We look at a unique local dance group. Scorpius Dance Theatre recently became the first Arizona company invited to the Booking Dance Festival, part of the world-renowned Edinburrough Festival Fringe. Producer Christina Estes and photographer Steven Snow introduce us to the Scorpius Dance Theater.
