Hartford is a literary and cultural city again on the rise! We'll explore the Mark Twain homestead and see the writing desk where he crafted some of his best-loved novels. Then, we take a historic steam train ride to Deep River Landing, where we catch a Mississippi-style riverboat for a cruise along the Connecticut River. At the New England Air Museum, Katie climbs aboard a WWII-era plane and gets and up-close view of a B-29 Bomber, before wrapping up our visit to the Constitution State with a walking tour of the oldest town in Connecticut.
