Night Night Nana

Mona discovers all the things you can see at night. Mona is dropped off for a sleepover at Nana's. She goes into the backyard notices that it is dark, so with Nana's help, they turn on the lights. Mona starts to turn them on and off repeatedly. Russell begins to bark at the flickering of the lights. Suddenly, they notice another light on the fence; it is Mr. Wooka with a flashlight. They say hello and Mr. Wooka announces that he has a special puppet show for Mona. He brings out a screen and explains that tonight he will perform a shadow puppet show. Shadow Puppet Show: The puppet show is about animals. There is a raccoon, a lemur, an owl, an alligator, a giraffe and even some mice. At the end of the show, they thank Mr. Wooka, and Nana informs Mona that it is time to go to bed. Mr. Wooka walks them to the gate, and as a special treat, gives Mona her very own flashlight. Mona leads the way back to the house with her flashlight, but before they return to the house, they turn off all the lights and look at the stars. Nana tells her that you can only see them in the dark. Then Mona discovers a firefly, and quickly she sees that there are many of them. She is delighted to see that these bugs light up. Mona and Russell get into bed, and begin to jump up and down. Nana tells them that they should never jump on the bed unsupervised, but since she is with them to hold their hands, it is safe. After they are finished jumping, Nana introduces Mona to the owl outside of the window named Mr. Hoots. They say goodnight to Mr. Hoots and then settle into bed for a story. Story Time Simon Squirrel: Simon Squirrel searches to find a comfy place to sleep, because his log is too hard. In the end he finds a pile of leaves that make a perfect bed for a squirrel. Nana kisses Mona goodnight, turns off the lights, and Mona and Russell fall asleep. The next morning Mommy comes to take Mona home. She tells her all about the shadow puppet show, the flashlight Mr. Wooka gave her, the fireflies, and Mr. Hoot.
