Russell Did It

Season 1, Episode 21 of 26

Mona learns about being honest. Nana opens a box and pulls out a ceramic cat that she has ordered. Mona and Russell come in and see the cat. Nana tells Mona not to touch it because it is breakable. While Nana has left to get her camera, Mona pets the statue even though Russell is urging her not to. She then tries to pick it up but drops it on the floor. Nana comes back to find her cat broken. She asks Mona if she broke the cat and Mona lies, and says she didn't. Nana asks Russell if he is responsible, and he says no as well. Nana says that it has to have been one of them; therefore one of them is lying. Mona states that Russell did it. Russell is shocked by her lie. Nana scolds Russell and sends them both outside while she cleans up the glass. Mona tries to talk to Russell but he is very upset. When Nana comes outside, she announces that it is time for a puppet show but Russell isn't allowed to come, because he is being punished for his lie. Mona and Nana go over to Mr. Wooka's, while Russell pouts in his doghouse. Mr. Wooka notices that Russell is missing, and Nana tells him what happened. Puppet Show: It is a cave man show in which the moral is never cry t-rex. Mona feels bad so she walks back to Russell and begins to cry. Nana runs over to see why she is crying. Mona tells Nana that she was the one who broke the cat. Mona apologizes to Russell and Nana does too. Everyone feels better. Later in the kitchen they look at the broken cat in the box. Mona asks if Nana can fix it. Nana isn't sure she can fix it because it would be a very big job. Mona has an idea: they will surprise Nana by bringing the cat to Mr. Wooka so that he can fix it. While Mr. Wooka is fixing the cat, Mona says that she will distract Nana with a story. Story Time: Bobby Billings Has a Secret. We discover his secret: we are his best friend. Mr. Wooka and Russell call Mona over. Mona tells Nana that she has a surprise for her. She brings her the repaired cat, and Nana is delighted. Mommy comes to take Mona home. They tell her about Mona's lie, and how the cat was fixed in the end.
