Bee Sting

Season 1, Episode 22 of 26

Mona learns to respect animals. Bees buzz around some banana bread that Nana has made. She lets Mona out but warns her about the bees. Russell is barking at the bees, and so Mona tells him to be nice and not to scare the bee. He doesn't stop, so Nana warns Russell that if he bugs a bee he will get stung. Nana shows them how to stay still and calm and how the bee will eventually go away. They head over to Mr. Wooka's house and get ready for a puppet show. Puppet Show: A monster with a tongue starts to lick everything. He sees a bunny, so he licks him. He sees a bee, and so he licks the bee. Unfortunately he gets stung, and his tongue hurts. The moral of the story is don't lick bees. Russell runs off to Nana's back yard. He sees a bee and starts to bark at it. He continues to annoy the bee, until finally the bee has had enough, and stings Russell. Russell starts to yelp. Mona and Nana come to his aid. He runs inside and hides under the table. They try to coax him from the table. He comes out and they look at his bee sting. Nana goes to get some ice, while Russell tries to hide in the couch as Mona comforts him. Nana comes in with the ice and she makes his bee sting feel better. She tells him he shouldn't play with bees because they mean business. Nana suggests a story to make Russell feel better. Story Time: Patsy the Porcupine. The story is about Patsy the Porcupine who doesn't respect other animals. She has sharp quills on her back so she can be pushy, and take whatever she likes without asking. One day she tries to take some honey from some bees, and they sting her. She learns that she must respect other animals. Mona is dressed in her bee costume, and they are read to sing a song. Song Time: Don't Scare A Bee. Russell starts to dance and sees Mona dressed as a bee. He is scared at first, but he soon realizes that it is Mona and so they dance together. Russell is feeling much better. Mommy comes to get Mona and she leaves in her bee costume.
