Metro Week

Season 3, Episode 34 of 25

Topic 1: OSIRIS-REx, the mission to study an asteroid, is set to launch Thursday (9/8), on Friday, we’ll check in with AZPM’s Sara Hammond, who is at the Kennedy Space Center this week with the University of Arizona researchers who are leading the project. Topic 2: It’s been 15 years since the 9/11 terrorist attacks. We revisit a Tucson couple’s story of hearing the news while they were in China to adopt a baby. Then we interview Sat Bir Kaur Khalsa and Dr. Paraminder Singh, both of whom will be on a discussion panel Sunday at the Loft. They’ll speak after the screening of Divided We Fall, a film about hate crimes in the wake of 9/11. Topic 3: Sunday is also Grandparent’s Day, so we talk to Ann Nichols and Laura Jasso, who are each raising grandchildren. They each support others in the same position through the Arizona Grandparent Ambassadors organization.
