This week’s program is about how President Trump’s proposal to tax Mexican imports 20 percent may impact Arizona’s economy, specifically trade along the border. Three interviews are with businessmen who daily manage trade across the US/Mexico border. We’ ll also hear from Visit Tucson who claims Mexican shoppers may begin to pull back on shopping/visiting Southern Arizona. It’s estimated Mexican shoppers pump $1 billion into Arizona’s economy every year. Finally, a UA professor speaks about the uncertainty surrounding refugees from Muslim countries.
