This week’s episode of Metro Week is mostly a panel discussion about gender inequality. The panel is: T. VanHook, CEO of Habitat for Humanity Tucson Tanya Nuñez, graduating University of Arizona student Karla Avalos, senior advisor to Tucson Mayor Alison Hughes, first director of Tucson Women’s Commission, retiree and community activist They discuss the gender discrimination they see, the causes, and possible solutions. The show also includes a story about the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona, which serves more women than men in Tucson, and a story about the YWCA of Southern Arizona celebrating its 100th anniversary this month.
