PBS News Weekend

Season 7, Episode 4 of 4

When President Donald Trump withdrew the United States from the Paris climate accords last month, he effectively rejected that the world's wealthier nations -- those with the biggest carbon footprints -- should help poorer nations that are vulnerable to the effects of climate changes like rising sea levels. One such place is the Republic of the Marshall Islands, a nation in the Pacific Ocean midway between Hawaii and Australia. NewsHour Weekend Special Correspondent Mike Taibbi traveled there to see the increasingly apparent impacts of climate change, including the struggle to find fresh water.
