Season 4, Episode 26 of 25

Health Care: As the U.S. Senate considers changes to its health care bill, we ask Judy Rich, CEO of Tucson Medical Center, and public health professor Daniel Derksen what impact the proposals could have on health care in Tucson. Travel Ban: The director of the Tucson chapter of the International Rescue Committee, Jeffrey Cornish, will talk about the impact of the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to allow parts of the federal travel ban to go into place, especially what it means for Tucson, which is a hub for receiving refugees. Sick Leave: A Tucson employment lawyer, Barney Holtzman, lays out the details of the new statewide sick leave policy that takes effect July 1. It requires employers to give paid sick time to all workers, including those who work part time. Employers: We go to Green Valley Cooling and Heating, which is sponsoring a forum to educate employers about the sick leave changes. President Pete Perves tells us the busines already gave paid sick leave, and calls the change an administrative hassle more than anything else.
