Amidst the global push to develop clean, renewable sources of energy, that are cleaner than burning fossil fuels, solar and wind power are leading the way. When it comes to renewables, of the 50 states, Hawaii stands out --with 15 percent of the islands' power already coming from solar and wind. Now, the Aloha state may be pioneering another renewable form of natural energy to power the lights in Honolulu and beyond: waves from the ocean NewsHour Weekend's Megan Thompson visited a marine base in Hawaii, where researchers are testing a new frontier of wave power technology that they hope could one day supply energy to the nation's electricity grid.
