Health Care Funding

Health care negotiations are still underway for funding things like CHIP (children’s health insurance program) and community health centers. Funding is in place for now but Arizona could be one of the first states to run out—could happen toward the end of December. Arizona Week visits Mariposa Community Health Center in Nogales, a border community where the half the population relies on the clinic for health care. Also a look at the role of pharmacies in rural Arizona, including a grant to expand an existing program.
