Life of Crime

Season 1, Episode 2 of 3

It's 1997, and Denise is now a successful DI in the era of 'Cool Britannia' and 'Blair's Babes'. She is ideally placed to climb the ranks, despite struggling to find time for her husband Ray Deans and their daughter. Denise' world is turned upside down when forensic evidence on a new case is cross-checked on the DNA database and matches unknown samples found on Amy Reid in 1985. Mike Holland's legal team push to make his original conviction 'unsafe', and he is released after 12 years. Denise is exposed and demoted, at the same time as Ray pushes for a separation and she is forced out of the family home.
