In the opening Lawrence asks "What do "Mack the Knife", "Our Love", and "Hot Diggity, Dog Ziggity" have in common?" The answer is all of them were originally classical compositions. As the show proceeds, Lawrence explains the origins of each song including "Baubles, Bangles, and Beads" and "I'm Always Chasing Rainbows".
