PBS News Weekend

Season 8, Episode 72 of 99

Award-winning war photographer Chris Hondros was famed for his striking images from Afghanistan, Iraq and other conflict zones, but to filmmaker Greg Campbell, he was a high school buddy from Fayetteville, North Carolina. Now, nearly seven years after his friend was killed while covering the Libyan civil war, Campbell has created the documentary film "Hondros," which is both a retrospective of the photographer's work and a portrait of their friendship. NewsHour Weekend's Christopher Booker has the story.
