Youth in the Workplace –(studio) a growing number of high school graduates are opting to join the workforce instead of exploring higher education. Tucson Youth Development works to pair youth with employment opportunities. Guest: Jay Slauter, executive director of Tucson Youth Development. Early Education—(studio roundtable) across the state, school districts and other organizations are expanding early education options for children and caregivers. Arizona 360 brings together Jessica Harrington from First Things First and Brian Stewart, Dean of Education at Pima Community College to discuss the need and challenges associated with a growing population. Politics at Play—(studio) UofA political professor Samara Klar discusses dynamic of the upcoming political season. Pima Dems and Repubs—(studio roundtable) the midterm election is months away but candidates are busy finalizing petitions for the August primary. In Pima County, the major political parties are each working to ensure their bases are motivated to vote.
