Central Park Five

Episode 1 of 1

Late in the evening of April 19, 1989, Tricia Meili, a 28-year-old white investment banker, went jogging through Central Park in New York City. When she was found hours later, she had been brutally raped, beaten and left for dead. This film examines the notorious crime, the media response and the public outcry it triggered, and the miscarriage of justice that followed it, probing the larger issues it raises about our nation's complicated past.
