Acrylic Medium on 18x24 horizontal stretched canvas. In the opening episode, Jerry discusses with his viewers the reference material he will be using to create the swamp scene. Then shows how to use each photo to create a good eye-flowing composition. Then takes the soft-vine charcoal and shows how to sketch in the horizontal line. Now he takes the 2" hake brush and underpaints the background with long vertical strokes. Then underpaints the water using same technique. He finishes by blocking in a few background tree trunks and reflections.
