GROWING THE ARIZONA TEACHERS ACADEMY: Arizona Board of Regents chair Ron Shoopman discusses efforts to grow the Arizona Teachers Academy and the impact it has had on the state’s teacher shortage since its creation in 2017. TEACHERS ACADEMY STUDENTS: Two people with direct involvement in the Arizona Teachers Academy share their experiences with Lorraine Rivera. Chauna Mae is a new student in the academy and says how the program has enabled her to make a career switch to teaching. Caitlin Brenton graduated from the academy in May and will soon start teaching in the Flowing Wells Unified School District.
