Acrylic Medium on 18x24 horizontal stretched canvas. In this first episode, Jerry discusses the reference material he will be using to create the composition. Then uses soft vine charcoal to sketch in the basic components of the landscape. Next, he shows how to paint in the sky and clouds. Then he shows how to block in the distant hills and trees. Now he explains the composition and re-sketches the hay bales. Then he finishes by underpainting the background and middle ground meadows.
