In episode 3, Jerry shows his viewers how to paint in the middle ground leafy trees on the very left side of the canvas. Then shows how to add the dead limbs that support these. He then shows how to block in the large masses of leaves of the trees on the right side of the panting. Then shows how to apply a dry-brush glaze to soften the background trees.
