From Far Away; Other Cultures

Season 25, Episode 10 of 13

Travel to far off places and learn about other cultures to expand your creativity. The first guest, Mel Beach, shows how to add some Zen to your free-motion quilting. Warm up by seeing how a few simple shapes and filler motifs can be combined to create intricate mandala designs. Then, Rachel Clark works with African wax or batik prints. She demonstrates how to build units, the thought process on attaching units together for good design, and then how to use these units in garments.
