Sara Gallegos' method of framing a center medallion by "floating" it is a perfect solution for unusually sized blocks-a common problem with antique orphan blocks. Sara also introduces a new technique-mock yarn-tying-that gives you that old-fashioned charm, without sacrificing the durability provided by machine quilting.
