Season 7, Episode 21 of 40

Pandemic Dreams: Over the course of the COVID-19 pandemic, people all over the world are reporting having what are now known as “pandemic dreams.” We sat down with Dr. Michael Grandner, the director of the Sleep and Health Clinic at the University of Arizona, who answers questions from four people about where their dreams have taken them over the past year. In our fully animated story, we learn about the vocabulary of dreams and how they might be helping us to make sense of our new normal in ways that we are incapable of doing during our waking life. Reconciliation on the River: Join naturalist and conservation educator Angel Breault and a team of volunteers as they work to clean-up trash, remove invasive species, and reseed native plants on a stretch of the Santa Cruz River near downtown Tucson. Tucson Cancer Conquerors: Nearly half of all men and a third of all women in the U.S. will receive a cancer diagnosis at some time in their lives. Often with little warning…it can be an overwhelming experience marked by fear, anxiety, anger, and bewilderment. There is a group here in southern Arizona that strives to educate, inspire, and encourage people both during and after cancer diagnosis and treatment… Tucson Cancer Conquerors
