Great Peking To Paris Expedition

Beijing To Mongolia Via Xuanhua, Zhangjiakou, Jini

Season 1, Episode 1 of 4

The old vehicles which have been shipped half-way around the world are lined up at the European quarter of old Peking where the Great Race started 100 years ago. Five cars, identical to the originals, are ready to re-create motoring history. There is limited back-up, hardly any spares and almost 8,700 miles to drive. After less than two miles the first breakdown occurs. Tension is building and they haven't even reached the Great Wall of China.
