In Nagasaki, a young boy carried the lifeless body of his younger brother, after the devastation brought on by the atomic bomb. An American army photographer, Joe O'Donnell, took a picture of him stoically waiting in the line at a crematory. SEARCHING FOR THE STANDING BOY OF NAGASAKI is a documentary film chronicling the approaches being used by scientists and historians to try to determine the boy's identity and fill in the missing gaps of his survival story.
