The music of composer Cole Porter is featured. Porter, who coincidentally shared the same birthday as Fred Waring (only nine years apart) wrote the music for "The New Yorkers," a 1932 musical revue featuring the Pennsylvanians. Songs include, "Love for Sale," "Begin the Beguine" and "In the Still of the Night." Originally broadcast on June 4, 1950.
