This Old House Hour

Season 11, Episode 16 of 26

Kevin and Norm tour scenic Essex, Massachusetts, and roll up to the new project: a 1935 English-style cottage in the woods that homeowners John and Julie Corcoran hope to turn into an accessible in-law residence for aging parents. Architect Sally DeGan and Tom use a 3-D model to preview the plan for aging in place, and work begins. In the second half of the hour, on ASK THIS OLD HOUSE, master electrician Scott Caron helps a homeowner hang a flat panel television on the wall and conceal all the wiring. Back in the workshop, Scott shows Kevin examples of different types of electrical outlets. Then, Kevin, along with Roger, Richard and Tom, asks, "What Is It?" Afterward, Roger heads to Miami to help a homeowner control the insect pests in her yard without the use of pesticides.
