UA hosts a bilingual high school conference with students from border states in the United States and Mexico that simulates real world United Nations debates. Kate Kenski, a UA professor and author, explains the importance of political communication in an election, and the role it plays in our lives. UA's Institute for LGBT Studies is one of the few academic entities in the country that focus on lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender research. UA holds its first Hip-Hop Symposium to introduce the new Hip-Hop minor.
