Burdette Bald Eagle: Burdette's feathers are falling out and she doesn't understand what's happening to her. Everyone has their own theory as to why, but Madge sets them straight and teaches them about molting. Hot Ice: When Burdette's ice that she brought back from a mountaintop disappears, she enlists Snook to help her discover the ice thief. Ultimately, they learn that no one's to blame - water can melt, freeze, and even evaporate. EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES: Molting - Some animals shed their skin or feathers at times as a natural part of the maturation process. States of Matter - Water comes in a variety of forms.
